Three thousand photos of your baby, and still no baby book.

That is every new parent's camera roll. Every other baby book waits for an evening you never find. The first year is happening now. So is the book.

The other way round.

Three steps in the app, and the baby book takes shape month by month. This is the real flow.

Too tired to write tonight?

Weekly checkpoints and monthly reflections keep the baby book moving on the nights you cannot. A photo is enough.

The first year, page by page.

  • Twelve monthly photos, side by side. The same spot, a month apart. The whole year in one spread.
  • Milestones with your words. The first smile, the first steps, and the line you wrote that night.
  • A cover from your own birth card.Your family's colours, not a template bought online.
  • A private family album.Grandparents, a co-parent, the whole family: they see new photos and milestones, and add their own. Nothing is public.

Started for the kids. Never stopped.

What parents say who began when the first one arrived.

"The nicest app on my phone, especially since we had kids. A diary without the work, and the best gift at New Year."

"I now take a photo of ordinary everyday situations every day. These are actually the best photos. I just never took them before."

"A fun photo every day means I already have three yearbooks."

Questions about the baby book.

The day the birth card is ready, or any day after. Photos from before can be added to the days they belong to, so a book started at three months still begins at the beginning.

More than 100 first-year milestones, from the first smile and the first bath to the first tooth and the first steps, listed from day one so you never have to remember what to capture. Add your own too.

Yes. Invite the grandparents, a co-parent or the whole family to the baby album. They see new photos and milestones and can add their own. Nothing is public and nobody follows anyone.

No. A photo is enough. Weekly checkpoints and monthly reflections are there for the nights you have a minute, and the book reads well either way.

Yes. Every child gets a baby book of their own, with their own cover from their own birth card.

The app and the album are free. A printed hardcover baby book starts from €27.95, depending on the number of pages, and takes six working days to reach your door. You see the full price before you confirm.

Yes. Only the people you invite can see it. There are no public profiles and no ads, and your data is never sold, whether you pay or not.

How to make a meaningful baby book

The longer answers: which milestones matter, how the family joins in, what to write when you are too tired, and the second child.

The milestones that matter, and the list

The trouble with baby books is not taking photos; every parent takes thousands. The trouble is knowing, in the moment, which ones will matter. PYM lists more than 100 first-year milestones from day one, week by week: newborn, first bath, first smile, first outing, first tooth, first solid food, first steps. When one happens you tap it, add the photo and, if you have the energy, a line. The milestone, the date and the photo are then on the right page of the book, and you never had to remember what to capture.

Add your own too. The milestone that makes a family laugh is rarely on anyone else's list.

From the birth card to the cover

Photograph the birth card and PYM paints three covers from its colours and style, with your baby's name and date already on them. The book then looks like your family from the first day, not like a template bought online. Choose classic, modern or playful, and change it later if you like.

Grandparents, and the family album

Invite the grandparents, the other parent, the aunt who lives abroad. They see new photos and milestones as they arrive, and they add their own, so the Sunday at their house ends up in the book. Nothing is public, nobody follows anybody, and the album is only visible to the people you invited.

What to write when you are too tired

Nothing. A photo is a complete entry. The weekly checkpoint and the monthly reflection are there for the evenings you have a minute: two lines about this week, how you are doing, what changed. By the first birthday the book reads as a year, with the twelve monthly photos side by side, the milestones in order and the few lines you did write exactly where they belong.

A second child, and the first year as a gift

Every child gets a baby book of their own, with its own cover from its own birth card. Most parents order the printed hardcover around the first birthday, and a second copy for the grandparents is a few taps away. The app and the album are free; the printed book starts from €27.95 depending on page count and arrives in about six working days.

The first year, already in a book.
